I agree with Steve; it’s not usual :)

I would put a few hours (i.e. a little time) into your alternative idea and document it and leave it as a stub for later development and concentrate on your main 30 day project.

I don’t think that’s unusual for developers :-) I sometimes have a dozen or so projects on the go and 20 or so books … but I love it. To love your work is what it’s all about :-)

@Richie — wow, cool, thanks for the alternate. It seems logical that it should be running, eh? But a little known fact of running is that the *cool-down walk* is actually the most important part of a run, and that’s the message I was trying to get across to new runners.

OK, not really. To me, the cheetah (if so the beast be) is pretty much what Run would be if it were a noun. So I kinda like the unintentional irony of the walking cheetah :P.
I also like the way it’s ‘grounded’ on top of the word, from an aesthetic perspective. But yours definitely makes ’sense’.
I’ll toss yours into my Photoshop file, and see which one grows on me more by launch. Maybe a sweet GIF animation cycling between the two ;).
