   I think that looks great. Very simple and uncluttered.
   The only thing that I would change is that the header takes up a little too much room for my liking. (mostly all the extra empty blue at the top) It does look nice though. ;)

   Not bad, quite like the simple logo. One thing I’m not so keen on is the colour scheme, it’s a bit all over the place IMHO.
   Are you going to monetize it purely from ads?

   @bracken, thanks for the feedback. You’re right about there being a lot of space at the top; I’ll re-evaluate how much is necessary once this in Good Ol’ HTML, and maybe slide everything up a bit.

   @Colin, them’s the perils of my ‘pick-random-colors-that-I-like’ design method. :P It would probably be better to define and stick to a smaller palette.
   I think there’s a lot of potential for ad revenue on a site targeting a niche like runners (a relatively large niche full of vaguely guilty people who know that better shoes will definitely help get them out there every day). I do have ideas about subscription-type plans, but it’s a matter of deciding which features I could logically charge for. There may be something I can do with running groups.

   That looks brilliant. I really like the design of that; neat, clear and concise. Just like I’d like my site to look (I don’t have the design skill; I need a designer).

   Looking forward to seeing you get something up, only three weeks or so to go!
